Athlete sponsorship money and government funding have been cut to a minimum and the situation is really difficult. Activity fees have risen enormously for many reasons. Swimming used to be an affordable sport, but nowadays it easily costs 200 euros a month, plus equipment on top of that.
What excited me about Fundis was the ease of use and the fact that users can choose their own cause and support it without it costing anything. I also liked the ambition and plans to take this Finnish invention global. We desperately need success stories in sports and beyond.
