The list of Fundis beneficiaries is growing as the Nadija Children’s Hospital and Research Foundation comes on board. Nadija means hope in Ukrainian, and that’s exactly what the foundation wants to bring to children and their families growing up amid war.
The Nadija Foundation helps Ukrainian children and families affected by the war by developing mental health services and rehabilitation. Built as a Nordic-Ukrainian collaboration, a virtual hospital will bring remote psychological support to children and families across Ukraine, and it is now in its final testing phase before launch. The long-term plan also includes a rehabilitation hospital in Lviv, as well as research supporting children’s wellbeing.
With Fundis, you can now direct the support paid by merchants toward free psychological care for children and families, as well as toward training professionals and developing services. At the same time, you’re helping build lasting expertise and care services in Ukraine for future generations. When you pay with the Fundis app at partner companies, the company donates part of your purchase to the beneficiary you choose. The support doesn’t cost you anything extra.
“Finns have stood firmly with Ukraine through humanitarian aid and support for its defence. We want to open up another way to help by supporting Ukraine’s children, whose recovery matters for their own futures and the future of their country. We see the Fundis model as a very natural fit for bringing even more people in Finland into that effort,” says Nadija Foundation’s CFO Roland Ulfstedt.
“Thanks to Nadija’s important work, more and more children are getting help with their trauma and a chance to recover. It’s great that every Fundis user can now help these children through their everyday purchases,” says Fundis founder Juha Markkanen.
Supporting Ukraine is important to Fundis, and broader support in Ukraine is also in the works. We’ll share more about that later.
