Finnish Basketball Association Joins Fundis – A New Step in Fundraising

The Finnish Basketball Association is now part of Fundis! The Finnish Basketball Association operates as a federation of basketball clubs registered in the association register and represents its members in the international basketball federation FIBA. The Basketball Association’s goal is to offer diverse basketball activities for all enthusiasts of the sport and to be an active part of our national sports culture.

Both sports federations and clubs face an important task: getting children, young people, and adults moving and playing sports. At the same time, changes are happening in sports funding and the pressure to keep participation costs under control is growing. Sports federations and clubs need to find new ways to fund this socially important activity.

We asked the Basketball Association’s CEO Kati Packalén how Fundis can support the Basketball Association’s activities: “From the Basketball Association’s perspective, Fundis offers an easy alternative for fundraising both for us as a sports federation and for our member clubs. We’re excited to become Fundis’ partner. Donations directed to the Basketball Association will be channeled to the We deliver fund and the youth national team fund.”

Basketball Association CEO Kati Packalén also participated in a panel discussion about Fundis at the Vuokatti Elite Sports Week. You can watch the panel discussion here: https://areena.yle.fi/1-71111916 (3h31min)
