Fundis has signed a partnership agreement with Awadifo ry, an organization doing meaningful work. Our collaboration with various organizations and the opportunity to support their important agendas is a great source of pride for us.
Awadifo ry is a Finnish non-profit charity founded in 2021. Its purpose is to support people in developing countries in building a better future in their own countries. “Awadifo” means “thank you” in the Lugbara language, spoken in Northwestern Uganda. Awadifo ry has started its operations by supporting residents in this region but plans to expand its activities to other countries as well.
Awadifo ry trains and advises disadvantaged people in developing countries to start small-scale businesses, helping them earn a living for their families and improve the quality of life for the entire community. So far, Awadifo has already trained over 100 people in Uganda to start a new livelihood. Through their work, they support the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Awadifo’s founder Mira Kivistö comments on the collaboration between Fundis and Awadifo: “It’s great to be included among Fundis’ beneficiaries. We living in Western countries are privileged in many ways, and we have the opportunity to help those in more vulnerable positions thrive in their own countries. We want to thank you in advance for all the support we receive through Fundis. Let’s make the world a better place!”
